You only get to break the rules when you know what they are…

Since 2006 I’ve been working in cellars on Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan alongside some of the most accomplished winemakers in Canada. Honesty and transparency in the winemaking process is incredibly important to me.

I’ve been making “Anthony Buchanan” label wines since 2014 and I’m proud of my commitment to eco-friendly farming practices and sustainable winemaking.

We lease our property in Kaleden from Rick and Pam Benwick. After a successful career in the film industry, their passion for wine led them to the Okanagan in 2010 to purchase the Vantage Point property. I met them in 2018 and began working with the vineyard, taking their beautiful six acres of old vines Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris to an organic transition in 2020. As Pam and Rick began to consider a well-deserved retirement, it seemed like the perfect time to take on a new challenge, and so we are proud to open the Anthony Buchanan Winery here, summer 2022.
